AIM Infotech
Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 30, 2026
AIM Infotech wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use aiminfotech.ca and contact us easily. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
Our status
We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA. No formal third-party audit has been completed yet, so some areas may not yet fully meet the standard.
What we do to support accessibility
- Pages declare their language (Canadian English) so assistive technology reads them correctly.
- Pages use one main heading and a logical heading structure to help screen reader navigation.
- Meaningful images have text alternatives (alt text).
- The layout is responsive and works on phones, tablets and desktops, and supports browser zoom.
- Form fields have labels, and required fields are indicated.
- Links use descriptive text where possible, and phone and email links work with one tap.
- We aim for sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds.
- We avoid content that flashes and do not autoplay audio.
- We consider accessibility when we design and build new pages, and test with keyboard navigation and common assistive technologies.
Known limitations
- Some older blog images or downloadable files may not yet have complete text alternatives.
- Some decorative or animated elements may not yet fully respect reduced-motion settings.
- Third-party content we link to, such as social media pages, is outside our control.
We are working to fix these issues and review the Website regularly.
Documents and media
Where we publish downloadable documents, images with text, or video, we aim to provide accessible formats, captions or text alternatives. If something is not accessible to you, contact us and we will provide the information another way.
Compatibility
We test pages in current browsers on desktop and mobile before publishing them.
The Website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari) and common assistive technologies. It may not work fully in older browsers.
Alternative ways to reach us
If you have trouble with any part of the Website, including our contact form, you can reach us by phone or email instead, and we will help you directly. We can also provide information in another format on request where reasonably possible.
Feedback and reporting barriers
We welcome feedback. If you find an accessibility barrier, please tell us:
- The page address (URL)
- What you were trying to do and the problem you encountered
- The browser, device and any assistive technology you used
We aim to respond within 5 business days and to propose a fix or alternative.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We plan to:
- Review new pages and blog posts for headings, alt text, link text and contrast before publishing.
- Check that keyboard focus is visible and that every interactive element can be reached without a mouse.
- Make sure form errors are clearly described in text, not only by colour.
- Respect user preferences such as reduced motion and larger text sizes.
- Review this statement at least once a year and after major website changes.
Legal framework
Alberta does not currently have a dedicated accessibility law for private websites, and the federal Accessible Canada Act applies to federally regulated organisations. We follow WCAG 2.1 Level AA voluntarily because it is the widely recognised standard and because accessible websites are better for everyone.
Accessibility in our client work
We also build websites and apps for clients and encourage accessibility from the start. Ask us about accessibility when you request a quote for website design and development.
